Intervale active engagements -

Western Hemisphere
Intervale has engagements active in North America, Central America and South America, some examples of which are:
Engagement A began as a benchmarking study (Phase 1) of a major petrochemical company. Included in the Intervale scope were chlor-alkali, ethylene, polyethylene, aromatics, butadiene, ethylene dichloride, vinyl chloride and polyvinyl chloride manufacturing assets. The facilities were benchmarked against established metrics for operating effectiveness and technology. Phase 2 of this engagement is the implementation of activities directed toward closing the technology and performance gaps identified during Phase 1. This work will be completed by joint client/Intervale work teams and is to continue indefinitely.
Engagement B is a technical and economic feasibility study. It will assess the viability of a new world scale vinyls facility in the region.
Engagement C is a vinyls technology assessment, with the objective of selecting the optimal technologies for application to new grassroots chlor-alkali, EDC and VCM plants.
Engagement D is a manufacturing improvement program. Aspects of this program include process systems redesign and operational assistance.

Eastern Hemisphere
Intervale currently has active engagements in China and Indochina, including one that involves the design, construction, commissioning and start-up of a major EDC/VCM and PVC manufacturing facility. Spanning a period of almost three years, the project is one of the largest grassroots vinyls facilities to be constructed in the Far East in the coming years.
